The Lord Mephysto
Now let the Truth be known...

It is time for all to know of my true nature, for you see I am more than what I appear... In truth's sake, I must tell this from the beginning...

In years long past I grew up in a village, far from the prying eyes of humans. Back then I was known as Wolf St. John. We lived peaceful lives, crafting our goods. However, among us, some new those things would change eventually. Those raiders would find us. My father, Elkor, was one.

He knew that we would need fighters to defend us if that day came. So he trained me in the arts of war...

As Father put it, I had a gift for it. I was a natural with a sword, deadly accurate with bow, and vicious in combat. With the training and guidance my father gave me, I was becoming a great warrior... But... I'd never complete it...

One dark afternoon, raiders descended upon the village like locusts. The day had come, our village was found out, and I watched as the raiders murdered all those that lived there. Before he left, Father intrusted me with the life of my sister. His words still echo in my ears...

"My precious child, Wolf... Guard well Sirus. You and she may be all that is left here after the raiders leave... If you must, give your life to avenge us."

With that, Father left to face down as many as he could. He hardly stood a chance. Moments later he was beaten to death by five men. I watched every blow fall, but covered my sister's eyes.

After the battle, my sister and I came out of hiding. We traveled for days till finding another village. We became a part of that town, and when I was old enough, I became its Protector. But once more, tragedy found me again.

This time it came in the form of a warlord name Fennin. He attacks the village in the dead of night. While he was turned back, he captured Sirus, and then took her to his fortress in the mountains near town. I pursued, bent on rescuing her.

I thought I could win, I thought I could rescue her from that butcher. I was wrong. I killed several of his men, but took a few wounds in the process. When it came time to deal with Fennin, he bested me easily...

Dying, I hid within the fortress walls, cursing my foolish bravado. I did not think. I did not plan out the attack, or ask for help.

That is when fate dealt me a new hand. A servant of the God of Darkness Kali came to me. He told me that I was to die soon, and my soul taken to Kali. However, I was offered a deal... become Kali's servant and live, or.... It was a harder choice than one might think, but then I thought of Sirus.. and accepted.

The creature placed inside my arm a snake from the Shadows Realm. The snake gave me power. With it I defeated Fennin, and saved Sirus... but she sensed the pact I made with Kali, and ran from Me.. and so my curse began...
